Events across the United States were selected to participate in a pilot program in 2008. These events progressed through the certification process with a dual purpose: to assess the event's environmental and social footprint and to evaluate the ReSport Standards in a real-world setting. In December 2008, the pilot program culminated in a comprehensive case study that defined a set of standards and processes for ReSport Certification.
